Year off...Lady Yvette is back!!

It will officially be a YEAR since I've shared a posting on my blog and I am not sure how I feel about it but know I am inspired to share again! :)

No apologies this time because there are really no excuses for my hiatus...except I just don't do well with commitments. Period. Well, as odd as this may be; me sharing this with you all (my fellow
Fashion Ambassadors™) - it's sadly the truth. However, I am quick to admit it because this is my first step toward changing that! ;-)

So in saying that I would like to share that I am no longer with Signature Hits magazine as online fashion editor or fashion director (creative director, really). I became fashion director of the magazine and produced a cover shoot for their supposed Fashion Issue back in September 2010 but, that's a loooooooong story...

...My blood, sweat and anguish went into the shoots. I produced and creative directed a shoot featuring Michael Kenneth Williams of the hit HBO series, "Boardwalk Empire". It was a post-apocalyptic themed shoot that focused on 2010 Men's Fall looks of the season. It was very exciting because this WOULD HAVE been MKW's first cover PLUS, it was my first time working with a celebrity and first time coordinating such an involving shoot which I wanted to be EPIC (my new word of the year)! Unfortunately, it never went to press with Signature Hits magazine and as I was writing this, I contemplated whether I should post the image of the mock-up cover on my blog - as you can see I did it. ;-) Not for nothing, though I came up with the concept breakdown of the shoot originally for Tyson Beckford (he originally was our poster boy for the fashion issue) and of course, something went down where that wasn't an option so, the publisher plus his marketing team scrambled to find someone else and got Michael Kenneth Williams. Not exactly someone I would have chosen for a "Fashion Issue" but my motto is very congruent to Tim Gunn and we just made it work. Anyway, I was very detailed in translating to my production team what was envisioned for this shoot. Take a look for your self ---------> Michael Kenneth Williams CoverShoot Production Breakdown (***note: I scouted locations for this shoot and the images you see of the locations were take by Yourz Truly ;)

Honestly, I could go on about what happen but to make a long story short I still got the spread published in AMMO magazine even though it did not go to press with the intended magazine...

Well, I am now working as Sales Generation manager for BCBG Max Azria in SoHo and it will be a year with the company in August! We made our numbers across the board for the month of June and finally have a Store Manager!! Go SoHo!!! I love my job for now but I am putting my energies into eventually creating again....Sharing my inspiration...introducing talent...sharing experiences....Please stay tune.

Mz Lady Yvette is back....

in LOVE,
Lady Yvette
