The Blues with Christian Siriano

Lady Yvette is blue today....(big sigh)

I don't know but I honestly think it's the weather and somehow in all my gloom I sit here wondering how the Christian Siriano show went...how SADD, yes - I missed it!! Below is the official evite I received so I could attend...

But not to worry, because I will check it out @ nymag.com where you can get the latest updates on the NYFW shows at Bryant Park...ahhhh, the beauty of the internet.

Speaking of Christian Siriano, did you know that his exclusive line for Payless Shoes just came out!! Under a multi-season deal, Siriano for Payless was made available this past Tuesday, September 8th at selected Payless Shoe Stores and payless.com. This is Christian's first shoe & bag collection which he originally debuted in his A/W 09 show last season at NYFW. See below the images of what other bloggers posted in Febuaray 09 about these haute for less shoes!

I will say I am very disappointed because there was all this buzz last season about these particular shoes (seen above) but come to find out these were only made for the runway!! Go to payless.com and see the difference between those up there and what was ACTUALLY produced....I was dead set on mostly ALL of them - especially for prices between $35-$50.

Egyptian-inspired turquoise bootie...the only one I'd consider purchasing.

Wouldn't you be disappointed too?

NYC full of the LOVE for FASHION

"Things never turn out the way you plan them but that's okay cuz I am the spontaneous type anyway....it's more adventurous that way."
~Lady Yvette

Rich B#@*%es on Madison Ave...I ain't mad at them, tho!

Fashion's Night Out was officially a success...I wish I had a Sex and the City crew I could call my own...Am I materialistic for wanting to be fabulous and LOVING fashion?...hmmmmm, NOPE!!! I think NOT!!! Where is Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda when you need them? LOL j/k...cuz I had my FAB friend, Carolyn with me - footin' it in heels and ALL, lastnight....LMAO!!

Yes, darhlings...my first show of the week was perfect. It reminded me how much I will miss SUMMER!! Rosa Cha's production of the S/S 2010 Collection was bittersweet with citrus accents and the bold black/white strip & dot motif. The swimsuits, dresses, jumpsuits, pants and tops were all very reminiscent of 50s swim/beachwear but structured with the lightest of fabrics, mostly chambray. The new creative director, Alexandre Herchcovitch took an objective stance with this collection and found inspiration in the DNA of Rosa Cha - the beauty of the Brazilian lifestyle and the juxtaposition of structure and fluidity. Model Chanel Iman open the show and I must say she is quite adorable! LOL

These image are all via my perspective from where I was standing at the show...YES, I said standing but it was all worth the 7 mins in my citrus orange pumps!!! Go to nymag.com to check out the entire show.

How ironic...my shoes match the major color motif of the Rosa Cha Spring 2010 collection!!

Heels and all, Carolyn and I head to Fred Leighton on Madison Ave but never make it...that's cuz we jump on a shuttle bus running specifically for FNO and got off to soon on Madison but in the heart of where allot of other things were taking place....

Charlize Theron @ Dior Flagship store on 21 East 57th Street...we just missed her go in!! DAMN, and I do NOT do lines so it was nice to see the dedicated fans...we walked next door to CHANEL....and then back to our original mission of seeing the windows at Fred Leighton but wait...Hermes was calling me on Madison Ave...

"I wanted that one, please!!"

And then the avant-garde, extravagant, crispy stark white shirts of Anne Fontaine was calling with the jazz band and champagne seducing me at the door....

Anne Fontaine welcomed me with champagne and a chance to win the FNO Sweepstakes...definitely can't be mad at that!

The night continued on where I meet CassiRenee taking over for Carolyn (heels NOT a good idea for FNO but trust there were more than just us knuckle heads out rockin heels out to shop)...it's good thing I brought my TopShop heather gray "white girl" shoes, tho (yup, that's what I call them..have been since I was little so please don't take offense ;-)...it is what it is...LOL) to then truck it down to SoHo with Cassi....

Here is where I must leave ya wonderin'...all I can say is you should of been there!!! So much fun, energy and FASHION!!!

Thank you to all the editors of VOGUE, Mayor Bloomberg, the celebrities that made appearances and made some money tonite, rich B!%@&# who had money/credit cards to spend on ERES, Hermes or Chanel, designers who design and price their garments for only the rich to buy, fashionistas who walk in the name of fashion and the little people who fall in between falling for this big hoax to get them all richer....Opps, did I say that??!!! NO, I mean to revive the fashion retail industry and the slump we've been in, in sales. LMAO, but I can't be mad at them... Crazy tho, huh?...;-) It's all in the name of FASHION and I am right there with them so...it is what it is, right??!!

Well, I hope you enjoyed. Stay tuned for my review and updates on NYFW shows I attend...

Tonight's the Night for FASHION

So as most of you all know it's Fashion's Night Out and I don't know about you but I am hitting the streets of NY and ready to bump into all kinds of celebrities, models, designers....and fashionistas, like me!!

I will be at the Rosa Cha show before I head down to SoHo to meet Alexander Wang, Jack & Lazaro of Proenza, and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte @ Open Ceremony. I may even stop by Fred Leighton on Madison Ave to check out the fabulous window display by Zac Posen + Lori Goldstein + Tabitha Simmons, one of many that I will most likely see just walking down Madison Ave. A friend of mine I know will be a Sak Fifth Avenue to check out the pop shop of William Rast, Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala's line....and OMG!!! Christian Siriano will be at Saks too!!! Another friend of mine may celebrate Brooklyn style and head over to Pieces of Brooklyn .

I could go on with what's happening...I would suggest to just get up and get OUT in the name of FASHION!!! Go to the Official Fashion's Night Out website and create your own itinerary!!

Hopefully, I see you on the street...;-)

The Fashion Abamassador's Fall Debut

As the season is changing and life is evolving, I am very excited for this years' Fall season brisking nearer. As I continue in motion with change I am constantly evolving with establishing myself in this cyber world of fashion with my fashion blog....and FINALLY, I think I got it!!!

I would like to introduce to you THE FASHION AMBASSADOR!! Think of me as a canvas, a palette, an inspiration board, a medium, and a resource of fashion artistry...whew! This will tie into my business of providing emerging designers/brands, "unknown celebrities" of the fashion world an outlet to become "known". I will provide a unique way of introducing and promoting artists to the industry through my visions, creativity, passion and LOVE for fashion. I am a model/muse, art director, producer and writer so through my art I want to create a collaborative, evolving, and positive influence in fashion...this is my mission statement to you all, in LOVE! ;-) You can look forward to me conceptualizing and creating a more visually inspiring layout to this blog for one thing...everything else will come together and I want to surprise you but just know this is a place for you to utilize my LOVE, excitement, and passion to promote ALL aspects of the Art of Fashion!!!

Now the Inspiration of the Day: I will be shooting/collaborating with photographer Alejandro Duran and the concept the team came up with is a Egyptian Space Age/Tribal Cyborg inspired fashion story which we plan to shop as an conceptual editorial to a few fashion magazines. I am modeling, contributing to the art direction and my make-up! I am nervous and excited and the pressure is ON!!! I am very disappointed and hurt that my sister wasn't inspired enuf to help me out with this collabo and do the make-up. She is pursuing make-up artistry and I realized she's not in it for the Love anymore....and to think I was her MUSE!...honing your craft at any chance you get with a great team is what I thought sharpened you as an artist....Anyway, wish me good luck!!

I present to you my inspiration for this shoot......

For behind the scenes footage of Chalize Theron's cover shoot, watch Vogue Diaries at vogue.com
